Welcome to V6Direct.org ("we," "us," or "our"). These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of our IPv6 tunnel, IP transit, virtual machine, and related services (collectively, the "Services").
By accessing or using our Services, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree to these Terms, you may not access or use our Services.
1. Service Description
V6Direct.org provides community-driven networking and hosting services, including IPv6 tunnel brokerage, IP transit, peering, virtual machines, and XDP-based DDoS protection. Our Services include:
- IPv6 tunnel provisioning (GRE, WireGuard, L2TPv3)
- IPv4 and IPv6 IP transit over tunnels or direct sessions
- BGP peering sessions
- IPv6 address allocation and BYOIP announcement
- Virtual machines (VMs) and related compute resources
- Network monitoring and statistics
- Technical support for our Services
All Services are provided "as-is" without warranties of any kind.
2. Account Registration
To access certain Services, you must register for an account. You agree to:
- Provide accurate and complete registration information
- Maintain the security of your account credentials
- Be responsible for all activities under your account
- Immediately notify us of any unauthorized use of your account
3. Acceptable Use
You agree not to use our Services — including any tunnels, IP transit, announced prefixes, or virtual machines — for any unlawful, abusive, or prohibited activity. The following are strictly prohibited:
Network Abuse & Attacks
- Launching or participating in denial-of-service (DoS/DDoS) attacks, amplification/reflection attacks, or any traffic intended to disrupt a third party
- Stress-testing, "booter"/"stresser" services, or generating deliberately abusive traffic volumes
- Port scanning, vulnerability scanning, or intrusion attempts against systems you do not own or lack written authorization to test
- IP or BGP hijacking, route leaks, spoofing source addresses, or announcing prefixes you are not authorized to originate
Prohibited Workloads on VMs & Transit
- Cryptocurrency mining of any kind (CPU, GPU, or otherwise), including hidden or "proof-of-work" workloads and mining pools/proxies
- Large-scale web scraping, crawling, or data harvesting that violates a target's terms, robots directives, or applicable law
- Operating open proxies, open relays, open resolvers, or anonymization services used to facilitate abuse
- Credential stuffing, brute-forcing, botnets, command-and-control (C2) infrastructure, or malware hosting and distribution
- Artificial traffic generation, ad/click fraud, fake account creation, or automated abuse of third-party platforms
Content & Communications
- Spamming or sending unsolicited bulk communications (email, messaging, or otherwise)
- Distributing malware, viruses, ransomware, or engaging in hacking/phishing activities
- Infringing intellectual property rights, or hosting/transmitting illegal content (including CSAM, which will be reported to authorities)
- Excessive resource consumption that degrades service for other users
We reserve the right to throttle, suspend, null-route, or terminate any Service — with or without notice — for any violation of this Acceptable Use Policy. Abuse may be reported to contact@v6direct.org. We may cooperate with law enforcement and share relevant data where legally required.
4. Virtual Machines & Resource Use
Where we provide virtual machines or other compute resources, the following additional terms apply:
- VMs are provided on a best-effort, shared-infrastructure basis unless otherwise agreed in writing.
- You are solely responsible for the security, patching, and configuration of your VM and any software you run on it.
- Sustained abuse of CPU, memory, disk I/O, or network capacity beyond fair-use levels may result in throttling or suspension.
- You are responsible for all traffic originating from your VM, including traffic generated by compromised software or third parties.
- We may take a VM offline immediately if it is the source of an attack, abuse, or a security incident affecting our network or others.
5. Service Limitations
Our Services have specific limitations:
- Tunnel and IPv6 services provide IPv6 connectivity; IPv4 transit is offered only where explicitly provisioned
- IPv6 allocations are typically limited to /48 or /64 prefixes per user
- Bandwidth is provided on a best-effort basis
- We do not guarantee uptime or service availability
We reserve the right to modify or discontinue Services at any time without notice.
6. Intellectual Property
All content, trademarks, logos, and software associated with our Services are our property or licensed to us. You are granted a limited, non-exclusive license to access and use our Services as described in these Terms.
You retain ownership of any content you transmit through our network, but grant us a license to transmit such content as necessary to provide our Services.
7. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, V6Direct.org shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from:
- Your use or inability to use our Services
- Unauthorized access to your transmissions or data
- Any conduct of third parties using our Services
- Service interruptions or downtime
Our total liability for any claims related to our Services shall not exceed the amount you paid us (if any) for Services during the six (6) months prior to the claim.
8. Modifications to Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes through our website or via email. Your continued use of our Services after such changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.
9. Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by the laws of Germany, without regard to its conflict of laws principles. Any disputes arising from these Terms or our Services shall be resolved in the courts of Frankfurt, Germany.
